This picture devastates me.  I’ll get that right out of the way.   Although mother and child are happy and healthy now that it has been five weeks since the birth,  I cannot help but feel a bit slighted by the … Continue reading

Pardon me for having my formative years take place in the 1990’s, but from time to time I tend to wonder where the hell celebrities from that era have gone.  This week’s case study is the sultry Canadian beauty, Neve … Continue reading

Maybe it’s just me?  Maybe it’s really you?  But does anyone know where the contagiously metro-sexual R.E.M front-man disappeared to?  It dawned on me today as I stood in the place where I live and began to wonder.  For a … Continue reading

As a teenager in the 1990’s, I was very much aware of both the professional and vaginal success’ of the Baldwin family, respectively.  Alec was married to the sultry temptress Kim Basinger, Stephen and Billy squired many a Hollywood starlet, … Continue reading

Where Are They Now?

Here at Tight Slacks we have a thread called Where Are They Now? This is a posting on which we catch up on the whereabouts of lost artists of all sorts. In the first posting, I would like to ask the question to a musical supergroup.

The Bloodhound Gang. Where Are They Now?

“You and me baby ain’t nothin’ but mammals
So let’s do it like they do on the Discovery Channel”

“Bad Touch” was released in 1999, leading way into a potential world crisis due to the inconspicuous governmental conspiracy – Y2K. The song helped people all over the world forget about the chaos going on, but rather laugh their asses off at the outlandish lyrics written by the supergroup instead. After the release and success of the album Horray for Boobies, the band toured with a more than mediocre success.

A stand out track, “Mope”, is by far my favorite. The Pac Man interlude will blow your mind.

Through the years, band members have come and gone, but Jimmy Pop has been the leading front man and guitarist since the inception in ’92. He writes the whacked out lyrics and enjoys being a crude dude. Cheers Jimbo! To wrap things up, in eighteen years they only made four albums – the latest, 2005’s Hefty Fine, was a flop to some, a success to others. Jimmy rocks out when he wants and seems to be doing qutie alright. Sounds like a good gig to me. The group has two new members and apparently a new album is in the mix. Good luck guys!
